Chickpea Curry

Chickpea Curry/Channa Masala

Ingredients

  • 2 Onions (Diced)
  • 4 Garlic Cloves (Minced)
  • 2 cans Chickpeas (Drained)
  • 1 tsp Chili Pepper
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Coriander
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 or 2 Thai Peppers (minced)
  • 1 tsp Turmeric

Cooking Directions

  1. Sauté garlic and onion until soft (nearly translucent).
  2. Add coriander and turmeric and cook one minute.
  3. Add all spices (save the Garam Masala), tomato, and chickpeas.
  4. Simmer, covered, 20 minutes.
  5. Add Garam Masala.
  6. Simmer 10 minutes.

Serve with Basmati rice. Also, a strong cheese could be mixed in at the end of cooking.
